Statement by Statement

You hear one statement at a time, then a gap to type it in. The gap is worked out from the speed you pick, so a longer statement gets proportionally longer. Start somewhere comfortable — you can step up as soon as you clear one.

A “word” counts as five characters, the standard typing tests use — so these speeds mean the same thing here as anywhere else.
