For candidates

Somebody will tell you where they are without knowing where they are, and a unit still has to get there by the fastest way. These modules measure how well you read a map under pressure — locating an address, judging distance and direction, and choosing a route rather than just a destination.

This is practice only. It is not an application, no agency sees your results, and nothing is recorded about you.

Map Reading

Ten towns, and a caller naming a landmark, a junction, a corner or a stretch of road — most of which you hear rather than read. This measures turning a description of a place into a point on a map you do not know: what you do whenever a caller can tell you what is around them but not the address.

Map Reading
